Alpa Player — Data Deletion Request

This page explains how users of the Alpa Player app (developer: Alpa Yazılım) can request the deletion of their data. Alpa Player has no user accounts; your data is matched to the random Device ID (in MAC format) on your device.

1. Data on your device

The lists, account details, favourites, watch history and settings you add are kept only on your device. To delete them, it is enough to remove the source in the app or uninstall the app (or Android Settings → Apps → Alpa Player → Storage → Clear data); you do not need to send us a request.

2. Deleting data on our server — steps

1. Open Alpa Player and note the device ID on the Add source → Device ID screen (MAC on TV).
2. Send an e-mail to info@alpayazilim.com with the subject line “Alpa Player data deletion request” and include your device ID.
3. Your request is concluded within 30 days at the latest and you are notified by e-mail. The legal retention records below are outside this scope (see section 4).

If your device is linked to an institution (school, hotel, hospital, etc.), you can also contact your institution about the records in its panel.

3. Data that is deleted

• Device ID, device model, app version and the IP address of the last connection (device record)
• A list assigned to the device remotely (by an institution panel or via alpaplayer.com) and the encrypted copy of that list

4. Data that is kept and for how long

• Security logs (blocked attempts, shared links): at most 90 days, then deleted automatically.
• Legal retention records: time of the operation, institution / panel name, the user who performed it, IP address, browser information, MAC address, device ID / key, list link (URL) and access details (encrypted). Because of the legal obligations under Law No. 5651 and the KVKK and requests from competent authorities, they are kept for 2 years even if the device, list, user or account is deleted, and then deleted or destroyed. Only an authorised Alpa Yazılım officer and, upon a legal request, competent authorities can access these records.
• List upload (from the site) and app download records: kept for at most 2 years to prevent abuse and because of legal obligations, then deleted automatically.
• If a legal investigation or official request is ongoing, the related records may be kept until that process ends.

The legal retention records are outside the scope of deletion requests (KVKK Art. 5/2-(a), (ç), (e) and Art. 7; Law No. 5651, Art. 5). They are kept only for the purpose required by the legal obligation, are not used for any other purpose and are deleted when the period ends.
